Solo show. Entremeses Violentos, in English Violent Appetizers, is a project in which I reflect on violence at different levels. From war conflicts to domestic disagreements. Through painting and sculpture, I dismantle certain clichés and cultural icons about violence and peace… In most cases, violence is instinctively motivated, far from rational and always close to absurd. These situations I can only understand in one way, from humour. And for this reason the most appropriate rhetorical figures for their understanding are irony, satire and paradox. The concept entremés (appetizer) is linked to the brevity of the exhibition. Despite its duration, it leaves its place in the retina of the viewer. As the homonymous theatrical genre did in the past. Preludio by Fire Escape
Group show. A new exhibition produced after several months of work where the seven artists have adopted the concept of Opera as their main inspiration. Cesar Biojo, Hugo Cardenas, Antonyo Marest, Marc Pallarès, Mareo Rodríguez, Raúl del Sol y Nicasio Torres are the artists who have worked on the concept and present their unpublished work for this exhibition.
Drawing and painting are the disciplines which will fill the walls of the gallery. And why Preludio (Prelude)? At Opera, like with an instrumental composition conceived like the introduction of a musical piece, Preludio introduces the collective of seven artists, who will all have the opportunity to present their individual artwork in dedicated exhibitions programmed for the second year of Opera. La Itinerante by Fire Escape
Group show. The collection ‘La Itinerante’ of Fire Escape moved a few meters from the gallery until arriving at idò d.o. balear where was showcasing one more time but with different artists, the collection which we openend Fire escape in 2012. On this occasion we had pieces by Cha Blasco, Anna García, Alexander Grahovsky, Elisa Munsó, Paolo Martelli, Cayn Sánchez, Jorge Ochagavía and Teo Vázquez. A good occasion to toast these four years of Fire Escape project inaugurating one of our most beloved collections. To liven up the opening night we had the music of DJ Henry.

renaissance by Lantomo
Solo show. In renaissance, Lantomo’s line goes through different nuances to reveal a new awareness. It reflects personal and recent experiences, birth, death, being reborn again and again to new life. To see what this social and personal resurgence implies, one must look into the eyes, from very close. To get rid of the old snakeskin you have to let yourself be looked at, in the intimate, you have to be stained and immersed in existence. So did the subjects he portrays. People observed with a magnifying glass, who lose their contours to gain details. Others divided between past and present, split into two halves, between the colour and purity of black and white. Formally, these pieces continue the aesthetic and technical trajectory of his previous works, with the use of graphite, charcoal and watercolours of intense colours, on paper as dominant support. The virtuosity of Lantomo’s pencil perfectly combines the realism of his portraits with the oneiric of the reflected situations. The pencil alone could unwind to tell everything. Colour supports it punctually to suggest the East and underline the duality of being and being again. The sleeping figures on the paper try to come out of the background, again and again, to fight and merge into the space around them. A tool, the drawing, a thread, the new consciousness.
