Escalera de Incendios was de original name of the project, with same meaning and statement. We opened the creative space in March 2012 joined by friends, family, curious, neighbors, and many artists. An special night which opened an amazing trip through contemporary art and creative experiences.
We showcased a group show exhibition, the topic of the show was the concept of Fire Escape within the multiple meanings and interpretations possibles. Every artist had a different approach to the concept and every artwork was exclusive and particular.
Cha Blasco, Maite Caballero, Anna García, Alexander Grahovsky, Alexandra Martínez, Amaya Martínez Marcos, Elisa Munsó Griful, Nadia Pastor Torrens, Maria Ramió Bosch, Mònica Solsona and Teo Vázquez. They were the group of artists selected for the first art exhibition.
Anna Garía and Alex Martínez’s video, and the musician Cha Blasco played the music live. What already happens in internet of meetings between musicians and directors, we took it to a face-to-face format with a musical video creation.
Solo show. Contenedores, second exhibition at Fire Escape by Elisa Munsó. Contenedores was an art proposal based on the creation of installations of a utopian world, unreal, where forms coexist. Which move by the impulses of the soul and sensations with matter in a geometric state. Forming an established order within chaos, its habitat.
Solo show. Under the title God has never come to save us, the catalan artist offers a compendium of images as a video collage. The viewer is more than an active observer, becoming part of an unreal scene. A voice accompanies the images of religious events: the faithful portray their way of feeling and practicing their religion, and then share it on the network. Sculpture, photography, installation, lead us to reflect on religion, faith and the circumstances of today’s society.
