Alice Von Daguer, born in Madrid, photography passionated and in love with street photography. Her greatest reference and inspiration is “The Americans” by Robert Frank, it inspired her to enter the world of photography and specialize in street photography. After moving to Australia in 2017, she studied Photography at Melbourne Polytechnic University.
Her work has been exhibited in the Public Record Office Victoria (2019) in the exhibition “In the Shadows”, currently still exhibited, and in the Exhibition “Mimesis” at Melbourne Polytechnic Campus with her series ”Tribute to Robert Frank” in Black and White.
For Alice, photography is being out there, looking at life, being interested in how people do their things, she needs movement, energy and noise around her to feel the adrenaline that makes her shoot and tell stories through an image. For her the most important thing is the storytelling behind each image.
‘When you are behind the camera you are not a participant, you are an observer’.
